Key Comptencies Reflection

1.Values and Celebrates Diversity, I can now share others points of view as well as style of learning, this helps when incorporating others ideas into one big idea as well as how they want it to be done when decisions need to be made. I now know that we are all equal even if one is considered superior.

In the future this will help making practical decisions, backed by evidence to show that that is the best decision possible.

I also respect that we have equal rights. And even though fame and fortune goes noticed quiet and humble will still never go unnoticed.

2.I have in the past Miss-calculated the risk in leaving things late or committing to a lot of jobs but now I believe I can look ahead and think what is worth doing and what outcome there will be. I compare the positive and negatives involved in taking on extra responsibilities.

Discipline and sensible risk taking has given me a boost and makes me feel secure and safe from stress and also makes me feel confident so I can turn down extra responsibilities especially when an adult asks.

I have learnt in a whole to commit to what I enjoy and nothing else, I don’t have time to waste.

3.Creation, planning and putting things into action to me is usually difficult. I can usually get as far as planning or to first steps of preparation but no further.

This year with more structured inquiry and time set to complete inquiries. I have have been able to slowly do things in order so that there are guaranteed results depending on the effort I put into it.

But I am still not happy with the fact that the bulk of this years inquiry has been at the end of the year.

4.Self Motivation for me was trying to push myself to hard in places I was not skilled in and taking it easier in the ways that are less challenging for me. I now no longer need to depend on friends or other peoples support.

This year there has been a balanced mix of individual and team activities. I have been able to experience some quality individual working times and using my self to think straight and plan my next move and take it slowly so I can get myself moving and eliminate extra support.

It has also been massive boost to my self confidence and let me express myself.

5. Organiser, I can now keep what I’m doing tidy and clean especially in my desk so I can go back to it whenever. I can also keep my desk tidy and keep my books flat and unfolded. I also keep a list of jobs that need to be done and when they need to be done by.

It is helping my communication skills and making me look tidier and better organized making it easier for other s looking through my stuff.

6. Flexible, I have put my skills into a wide range of activities and experimented in different ways and activities that are out of my experience. This has improved my skills in a wide range of areas including communication; I can use different ways of communication, ad I have began using email more and also Exercise; I now compete in a wide range of activities challenging my stamina and strength including x-country athletics and mountain biking.

This has also improved my confidence and excites me when opportunities to try new things come along. And I also have improved my knowledge in not pushing myself in to many different directions.

7. Goal setting, this year especially there has been a big emphasis on goal setting and looking to the future to achieve things that may take a while. Goals have shown me a new, practical way of achieving things that are of interest. They give you the opportunity to create an action plan and put what organisational skills you have to the test.

8. Active Listener, This year compared to other years I have been on to jobs quicker and understand fully what I need to do because I have been listening through class and trying to ignore others who are talking to me when I am trying to listen to an important instruction.

I can now move straight to work instead of having to ask the teacher and talk to my friends about what needs to be done. This allows me to complete higher quality work that is relevant to what has been talked to on the mat.

9. Analyses, I have been this year concentrating on work and what I need to do as well as analysing the facts and going over each aspect making sure that I always fully complete a job.

It also gives me a bigger understanding of what I am doing and this helps me when I need to know the point in doing some things(example; why are we doing an inquiry on this?)

10. English/science/technology, I have improved in all areas of the curriculum this year and am proud that I don't have a big weakness in any main area, I have been doing any other practising at home and finished unfinished maths sheets at home. When I am finishing work at home that I have trouble with I can get strategies of my family and find strategies and exercises of the Internet.

Also I have been doing poetry and writing at home and have been asked to enter a poetry group next year out of school so I can further improve my knowledge of poetry.

Evaluation: This year has been busy and rushed and pushed everyone into a large range of problems
